It is beyond a pleasure to meet you. I’m Alli, and this is my design studio. Patternmafia was born out of my love of patterns and design, creating solutions for businesses large and small. Even though I’m a one woman shop, my tenacity for design is as large as a pattern mafia, in a good way. :) By the way, there are some beautiful things coming your way! Working as a designer since 2005, I’ve learned many things - including how to wear many hats. My career has run the gamut from print, packaging, ISM, branding, product development, trend, pattern design to pro bono work. I am passionate and tenacious when it comes to design, and am always sensitive to the details. I have a proven track record of bringing brands to life, packaging and product to retail, and boiling down trends and concepts to present and collaborate with in-house Marketing and Design teams. Projects range from product concepting, marketing collateral, branding, packaging, experiential design, and pattern design solutions.
Created, managed, designed, and developed ISM, marketing collateral, packaging, product concepts, and trend identification for various major brands in collaboration with Target and internal teams. Worked closely with Sales, Marketing, Design, and JLB Insights Teams to identify strategic creative opportunities for ISM and various Reinvention projects.
Designed, developed, and lead creative strategic merchandising, packaging, ISM, and display solutions for video games, maximizing sales for retail partners. Diversified experience working with Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and Toys R Us. Collaborated with Retail Partners, Sales and Marketing Teams to develop artwork for marketing collateral along with collaborating with print vendors for optimal print solutions for packaging and in-store merchandising.
Created and implemented inventive design solutions for successful products and packaging. Among some successes were collaborative products at Target, with Disney, Best Buy, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Held trend captain position to identify and communicate current and future trends for trend-right design of products, packaging, and presentations. Projects included packaging, product development, trend, marketing collateral, and presentations.
Assigned to design and implement customer identity packages including logos and advertising layouts. Completed conceptual research on marketing strategy and audience awareness. Collaborated with other designers and helped with production to meet strict deadlines.
University of Minnesota - Twin Cities Acquired a Bachelor of Science Degree in Graphic Design Minor in Advertising. Graduated: May, 2005
